Happy Homemaker Monday

You can visit Sandra and join HHM HERE

Hello, lovely friends. I am still fighting anxiety and depression. I often wonder why I've been afflicted with these things. I've had both in differing degrees for 40 years. I am grateful that I can get out of bed and do my job every day - but that alone is not enough to make a life.

God has called me to do so many exciting things and I am having trouble getting myself together long enough to finish anything. And that starts a vicious cycle of getting down on myself for not fighting against it harder, not praying hard enough or long enough, or believing/trusting enough for the depression/anxiety to be taken from me.

BUT! We are here for the homemaking! And keeping a comfortable, welcoming home is part of taking care of your mental health - so it's all related!

*** The weather in my neck of the woods***

*** Devotional, Prayers, Bible Verses ***

I'm asking for prayer for my Dad, as he's having a lot of shortness of breath and trouble walking due to pain and weakness in his legs. I'm also asking for prayer for a friend of mine named Nicole, who was recently diagnosed with diabetes - went into a coma and was hospitalized! She's slowly getting her strength back and getting accustomed to a new way of life.

Prayers going out to the people affected by the shooting and fire in a Grand Blanc, Michigan, church yesterday. Horrible. Prayers for people all over the world living in these evil times.

Love you sisters!

  3. I'm so sorry you're struggling with anxiety and depression. I will help you pray about that. As far as anxiety is concerned, I have found that taking some of the olly 'stress' gummies helps me out some. Someone once told me anxiety and excitement come from the same place, so I try and channel my anxieties into excitement. I struggled a lot with it years ago, and have done better in the years since, thank the Lord. I think we all have those seasons though and I'm very sorry you're in one!
You have a beautiful park! I would love to walk and visit there! Your kitty is a sweetie also! I hope you have a good week and feel better soon!
