Happy Homemaker Monday

***Past week's pondering***

I've been very grateful the past week. We came close to losing our Dad and the good LORD made the decision to allow us to keep him longer.

Partially due to the recent scares in our family - I ended up getting some grown up things done. I scheduled my long overdue mammogram and my diabetic eye exam. I'm going to get all my x-rays done on Tuesday (which is my 56th birthday!)

I also (barely) got my taxes done in time, Saw my nutritionist again, took five walks, and started PT for my lower back, shoulder, and knees! Did PT six times!

*** The weather in my neck of the woods***

Monday: 43 partly sunny

Tuesday: 69 cloudy (my birthday!)

Wed: 68 & sunny (of course the day I go back to work!)

Thursday: 71 and rain

Friday: 65 and rain

Saturday: 59 and cloudy

Sunday: 64 cloudy

*** Thinking about ***
A lot of things all just scrambling around in my brain! We are heading over to see Jeff's mom to celebrate my birthday and then over to my Dad's for the same.

*** What I am wearing ***
Nirvana T-shirt and yoga pants while I get ready! I'll just be wearing a blouse and black pants with flats for the rest of the day

*** On The Reading Pile***
Moving along with War and Peace - both reading and listening to the audio book. I'm still enjoying both immensely!

I started a book recommended by a woman in my Bible Study: Compelled by Love by Heidi Baker. She is a missionary in Africa. I love books by people in missions.

*** What's on my tv ***

YouTube:
Gardening videos
Thrifting for home/garden decor videos
House plant videos
Christian Women videos
Dollar Tree videos

Jeff and I watched "The Housemaid" with a free 7-day trial of STARZ. We did fast forward through a few s*x scenes (really! we absolutely did) I read the book and I do love thrillers but this book isn't Christian friendly - but it does have a good twist.

***Favorite blog post/YouTube video last week***

I really like this thrifter. Her secondhand store is only about 2 hours away from me and I plan to visit this summer when she has her home sale. She not only thrifts for her shop, she thrifts for her home, herself, her family (including her sister and mom) and her three little girls.

This is her store: My Sister's Closet
