As Christian women, most of us have probably tried out a Bible Study or two.   At church with the Women's Group By yourself with a workbook With a best friend or loved one Online with a well-known book and thousands of women around the world Along with a television show or podcast or Youtube show I've done my share of Bible Studies and I would like to recommend a few!  1.   Happy Sunday!  Just a few quick things I'd like to share from the sermon that I heard today!   The world tells you that everything you do, everything you think, everything that you are is a-ok. You are perfect.  Nothing you do is a mistake. Even if you lose, you still win.   The BIBLE says we are born into sin.  We are not perfect. WE need to strive to change and be as much like Jesus as we can.  Creating good habits is a great way to become more like Christ.                     a.   Hello!  I hope you are having a wonderful February so far! It is the 7th today and we are going to have our second installment about the courageous woman, Rahab.  If you remember from last time, Rahab lived in Jericho and her inn was located right near the entrance gates to the city. A very ideal location for her business as well as a place for two weary men to find out about the comings and goings.  At this same time, Joshua was leading God's Chosen People to the Promised Land. God told Joshua that they would be crossing the Jordan River and heading into Jericho.  One of my FAVORITE verses of the Bible is in this chapter:  Joshua ended up sending two spies. The Bible says they went to the house of a prostitute and stayed there.  SOMEONE went to the King and said that there were two Israelite spies.  Obviously, they must have seen them go inside of Rahab's inn, because the King sent a message to her.  I wonder how her relationship was with ...

  Can you even believe that it is February already? I  feel like January flew by! It's time to introduce our Woman of the month, Rahab.  Rahab's story can be found in the book of Joshua in the Old Testament.  Rahab lived in Jericho, in the Promised Land.  She was an innkeeper, and her inn was located near the city gates of Jericho.  She did not have a husband at that time and her family lived "elsewhere".  According to Rabbinical tradition, Rahab was one of the most beautiful women in the ancient world.  Rahab's profession, most scholars say, was as a prostitute.  Canaanites were known for cultic prostitution - which was paid services for religious worship, as a form of fertility rite.  Of course, this is just a theory!  In Rabbinic texts, she is said to be an innkeeper.  It was not uncommon for  both an inn and brothel to operate together.   It is said that Rahab was born in 1213 b.c. and died in 1113 b.c. in Je...

I have returned to Heather Baxter Ministries for online Bible Study and fellowship - this is also several days a week with a lot of homework.  I joined Tiffany Croww's 75 Self-Love Challenge too - which is yoga and other daily habits meant to build self-love.
