Happy Homemaker Monday & Menu Plan Monday for May 23rd, 2016








The weather outside is:::: Perfectly gorgeous.  70s and sunny.  Love. 

On the breakfast plate this morning:::: No breakfast this morning. 

As I look outside my window::: Lovely.  Green grass, blue sky, birds chirping and pink flowers. 

Right now I am:::: Feeling guilty for not getting enough housework done this weekend 

As I look around the house:::: See above.  Still way too much to get done. 

TO DO:::: 

  • One more load of clothes 
  • Cook breakfast ahead for the work week
  • Put clutter away 
  • Dinner 
  • Read
  • Water flowers
  • Plant the rest of flowers for backyard


Currently reading:::: Just finished "Dacey" by Shanna Hatfield and "Traces of Guilt" by Dee Henderson - you can see my review HERE
Now I am reading: Chasing Justice by Danielle Stewart, In This Place by Kim Abernathy, Blonde by Joyce Carol Oates.

On the TV today:::: Binge watching Charmed.  Also watching Dance Moms, The Voice and Empire. 

On the menu this week::::
Monday:Herb marinated grilled chicken with Greek 7-Layer Dip and pita bread


Tuesday:  Racheal Ray's Taco Pasta Toss 


Wednesday:  Dinner with parents

Thursday:  Cheesy chicken and broccoli casserole 

Friday:  Homemade pizza with salad 

Saturday:  Dinner with parents again! 

Sunday: Grilled shrimp with garlic cilantro sauce over pasta 

Lunches:  Simple ham and swiss sandwiches, Greek yogurt

  3. Oh my, never ever feel guilty for not getting enough housework done! I'm sure you were doing more important things. I've found housework to be very patient, it will wait a really long time ;) Hope you are having a great week!

  4. Ok I seriously want to try your weeks menu, everything sounds and looks mouth watering! I will be adding to my recipe's, I'm thinking ill start with the taco past dish!

    1. The taco pasta is really so good. You can change it up in so many different ways - or even do a taco pasta bar.

  5. p.s. love your planner, I'm thinking of switching to a personal. Leaning towards the new recollection planners from Michael's before I invest in another. but I adore the color crush line

    1. I love my new planner! But I am still using my Happy Planner for my at-home planner - it's just not sturdy enough for me to cart around in my purse!
