Happy Homemaker Monday for February 24th, 2020
I am linking up with Sandra from Diary of a Stay at Home Mom for Happy Homemaker Monday
We are starting off the week at 51 and sunny! But it doesn't stay that way. By mid-week we are rainy and by the end of the week lows will be in the teens.
♥♥How I am feeling this morning♥♥
I'm going to come out and say it. I'm getting worried about the Coronavirus. We have over 300 people here in Michigan that are being "monitored". I'm seriously considering buying some masks. My kids are teasing me .... 🤷
♥♥Looking forward to♥♥
Dinner with my friend
♥♥On the breakfast plate♥♥
A breakfast hash - this week it's eggs with peppers and onions, a mix of roasted potatoes and sweet potatoes, and a couple of tsps of "real bacon pieces" for flavor. Topped with hot sauce of course!
♥♥On my reading pile♥♥
I finished reading "The Book Woman of Troublesome Creek" last week. You can read my review here. I have also joined the classics challenge, you can read my plans HERE. After that I read Match Making for Beginners. It was really enjoyable. The characters were so good!
Right now I am reading A.G. Riddle's "The Long Winter" It's the first book in an apocalyptic trilogy. So far it is really exciting and good! I've read other books by this author and they are always fast paced and smartly written.
♥♥On my tv♥♥
I binge-watched the CBS show "Evil" Mostly it was really good, different, and entertaining. Then they would throw is something super cheesy - I'm guessing to lighten the darkness? I'm not sure, but it gave me a good laugh.
-The Biggest Loser
-Forensic Files II IT'S BACK!!!!! My favorite show is back. Sunday's at 10 EST
♥♥On the menu this week♥♥
Sunday - Family dinner & game night: Shrimp Lo Mein & egg roll
Monday - Didn't go out w/ my friend last week - so out for MOD Pizza
Tuesday - Leftovers
Wednesday - Vegan taco soup
Thursday - Vegetarian burritos (soy crumbles, black beans, roasted corn, peppers, onions)
Friday - Veggie & tofu peanut noodles
Saturday - Chik'n sandwiches w/ crispy sweet potato fries
By the way - the lentil curry stew last week was really, really good! My daughter loved it too. Definitely a keeper! No real recipe, just threw a bunch of stuff in the pot lol
My arterial Doppler last week was negative, which was good news. My back x-ray did not show a slipped disc, only some degenerative disc disease in my lower back. My doctor thinks this is the cause of my leg issues - but I disagree. I have back stretches to do (some at-home PT). I'll do what the doctor ordered for a few weeks and see if there is any improvement.
♥♥Chore I'm not looking forward to today, or this week♥♥
Going to Cardio Drumming with my sister! 😂
♥♥To relax this week, I will♥♥
Read, Bible study
♥♥On my prayer list♥♥
