I have been looking through a bunch of Advent books from Kindle Unlimited - trying to decide what I want to do this Advent. I'm putting together a scripture writing plan for Advent. I'll share that here next week if anyone would like to follow along.  Bible:  Last week reading the crucifixion in all 4 gospels was so heartbreaking.   I'm borrowing this idea from Ashley Hetherington - but switching it up for this older lady! Here is her You Tube video where she talks about doing the Holy 40 Soft!  I already do most of what is in this challenge - honestly, I do! But, I don't do them consistently. I'd like to finish out the year with my eyes on the LORD.  Here are my 7 rules for Holy 40 Soft:  1. Get up before 7 a.m. every day 2. Spend time with Jesus before picking up the phone  3. Take a prayer walk 4x per week 4. Eat whole foods 80/20  5. Pray before each meal  6. Either spend time being STILL with God or journaling to communicate daily 7. Spend 30+ minutes daily on your calling/ministry.   That's it! Pretty simple. I will be starting tomorrow, November 4th, so that I can finish on Sunday, December 14th.     You can visit Sandra and join HHM HERE  It was a strange week. It started with me forgetting to post my HHM post. I wrote it, just didn't add it to the list. Then I ended up taking my sister to the emergency room (see last week's post for more information). I was out there several times this week and today brought her home. It's all just a mess. I'm stressed out and trying SO HARD to rest in the LORD and be a good representative of Jesus, but I am not doing a great job.            *** The weather in my neck of the woods***   It is going to be in the upper 50's most of the week, starting with sun and then several days of rain. Most excitedly, we have our first chance of SNOW on Sunday!!
