*** The weather in my neck of the woods***
I am not at all happy with our weather. Christmas day will be rainy and close to 50 degress. UGH. 55 the day after. The rest of the week is in the mid to upper 30s .I SHOULD NOT COMPLAIN! I will be able to get some walks in! I am super happy about that.
*** Thinking about ***
All the last minute details for Christmas. I'm waiting on a few gifts to arrive, which will need to be wrapped. I'm working 3.5 days this week. Jeff will be here Tuesday, spending time with a friend Friday night, having my sister over for Christmas morning, and over to Dad's for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
*** What I am wearing ***
I am in pajamas. I've been really sick. AGAIN. I had all the symptoms of bad food poisoning on Thursday. Sickest I've been in a long time. Friday was pretty bad. Yesterday I was still in bed, but feeling better. Today (Sunday) I'm getting things done, but having to rest in between because of weakness.
*** Books I'm reading ***
Currently: You know I haven't been reading hardly at all (except the Bible) for the past few months. I'm going to change that for 2026!
Bible: Finishing up the New Testament with Bible Recap! I wouldn't want to read the Bible through in a year EVERY year - but it was really great for 2025. I was able to see the full picture and how things were connected. I learned more about the character of God, got a crush on King David, and simply fell in love with Jesus.
Reading Plans:
I will be posting a reading and faith goals post soon!
*** What's on my tv ***
YouTube (Cooking, thrifting/decorating, Christian videos)
House of David
Although most of what I watch has changed over the past year from 90% True Crime and serial killer shows to mostly homemaking and Christian (I still watch Nancy Grace and Annie Elise for some true crime) God has put it on my heart that YouTube is my phone scrolling. I'm always hearing about how people need to lock up their phones, have phone-free days, stop using them at a certain time - but my phone is not my addiction. It's YouTube. I watch videos all day and evening long! I was subscribed for around 200 channels? And EVEN THOUGH a lot of it is very inspiring Christian women - I have to agree, I watch WAY too much.
I am supposed to cut back my subscriptions to 20. TWENTY. I am currently down to 45, I believe. I went through and got rid of anytthing that I only watched once in awhile. But the ones that are left are the ones I watch all the time and I love them. Which should tell me something right there!
