Happy Homemaker Monday
Visit Sandra and join in with HHM!
It is definitely springtime in Detroit! No sunshine in sight, all of next week! Temps slowly rising, lots of rainshowers.

*** Things that make me happy ***
Finding/listening to new Christian music! I love a mix, from soulful heart-rending praise and worship to rock-style, country, and old-fashioned hymns. If it's good and it's about God, I don't care much about the style!
*** Book I'm reading ***
Oh, you guys. I only read about 2 chapters of "Voice in the Wind" by Francine Rivers.
I did read Alison May's "Springtime House"
I'm on track with The Bible Recap, we are starting Joshua today! I'm still reading my daily devotional, and I've added Alison May's "A year of Puttery Treats" (she inspires me to make my home more special and vintage here I can!) I am not subscribed to her club, but I do have a few of her books and I've read several others on KU. Check out her webiste, it's worth it just for the prettiness!
Also reading throughout 2025: Living the Christian Year, Time to Inhabit the Story of God by Bobby Gross
*** Book I added to my Kindle ***
*A Very Brocante Day: Springtime (brand new one!)
*Hope in the Healing - A 40-day Devotional Journey Through Chronic Illness by Brianna Barrett
*Ten Women of the Bible Study Book: Max Lucado

*** What I am writing/creating ***
The leader of the writing community I am in shares workbooks a few times a year with us. I took more hours than I'd like to admit and went through them all, uploading all the pages I need, formatting, customizing, etc. Then I sent it off to be printed and bound at Fed-Ex. For $20 I have a workbook that is geared exactly toward what I need to write my Historical Fiction series!
I started a Facebook Page for Well-Versed Women. I truly want to have a place where we can support each other daily. The world is a hard place. I know that together, we can keep our eyes on what is important - on WHO is important! I will be posting inspiring, up-lifting things daily. I want us to share prayer requests, Bible quotes, stories of how God is working in your lives, and Titus 2 support for anyone who might need it!
I would be so humbled if you would follow and post on the page!! (pretty please? It's important to me - and God told me to do it ....soooooooo) Well-Versed Women on Facebook!

*** Devotional, Prayers, Bible Verses ***
Alive City is my previous church's worship band. (Still love the church, just got way too big and, I needed something more intimate.) Pastor Jeremy is one of the best pastors I've listened to. He is a Bible believer and loves to integrate history and also show how things are still relevant today. Alive City is fronted by his 2 kids! Zach and Maddy! I highly recommend them! Check them out on Spotify.
Oh, that plant stand is so pretty (and so are the plants!). I'll have to check out that soap, just noticed we are almost out of soap (thinking I missed the last sale). Hope you have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteI am in love with the plant stand too! I think my plants also enjoy it, haha. I've been wanting one for years but they are always so expensive! The soaps are fun! I only buy from B&BW once or twice a year, so I enjoy it! Usually around now and in fall!
DeleteHello my Lovely!
ReplyDeleteI love any Christian music too. Whatever feeds the soul. 😉
That plant stand is awesome! I need more plants around here.
I checked in on FB today and commented. 😍
I just picked up some new solar lanterns for when the weather gets nice. It's a favorite to see all the solar things light up at night on the deck. :)
That straw topper is beyond adorable!!
Blessings Sherry. xoxo
Thank you! It was so good to see you on Facebook! God put it on my heart last week to make that page and I'm like - but FB? And then I said - ok! I use FB mostly to keep in contact with family, highschool friends, and my work friends. But He said so! I am in love with the plant stand. It is in the windows in my office. While I'm working away I can glance over there and it makes me happy :) I've been shopping a bit too much lately - but at least it's all inexpensive stuff? hahaha
DeleteHappy birthday to your sister. I got lots of solar lamps last year, thinking I might need a few more ;) Have a great week
ReplyDeleteThank you! I am really enjoying the solar lamps. I bought a mosaic birdfeeder which was also a solar lamp a few years ago and it was magnificent! My daughter also loved it, so now it is on her balcony! lol
