I can't even remember last week 😆 I know I worked (because - when am I not working). I cleaned, cooked, ran errands, and paid bills. It's ok, you can be jealous 😂 We spent a nice night at my Dad's having Chick Fil A and playing Uno. Jeff's car broke down, but he got it fixed. I was able to go for a walk one day when the sidewalks were actually clear - it was so so nice! I can't wait for spring. I usually love winter and snow - but I am missing my walks so much!
My sister and I decided that we are going to visit Emily in New Hampshire this summer! I have two co-workers who live in the area too. It should be fun!
*** The weather in my neck of the woods***
The cold of January is here! It is going to be anywhere from 0 to upper teens, and we have snow in the forecast the next five days.
*** What I am wearing ***
A burgundy sweatshirt and leggings. It's cold in the house too! My electric bill was nearly $500 last month so I'll be darned if I turn the heat up!
*** On The Reading Pile***
One chapter a day of War and Peace is going well!
*** What's on my tv ***
You already know. You Tube. I think that was it. Starting to watch a lot of gardening videos! And gardening on a budget.
***Favorite blog post/YouTube video last week***
Random, yes. But I like brooches and she had some ideas I may try!
***On the breakfast plate ***
Nothing
*** On the lunch plate ***
Plain bagel and cream cheese that was lost in the back of the freezer
*** On the dinner plate ***
No idea. I'm REALLY not feeling like cooking. Or getting off the bed. Or moving. (Update, getting 2 hamburgers and a fry from McDonald's. Jeff offered *shrug*)
*** On the menu ***

Lunches: Shrimp burrito bowl (Spanish rice cooked with spinach, roasted corn, peppers and onions, some squash for funsies. Assorted leftovers.
Monday :Believe it or not - for the manyeth week in a row, my friend and I had to cancel due to weather. It was icy and snowy and very slippery! Indian food - probably chicken Tikka masala.

This is my yearly planner, a study I'm doing with Chrystal Evans Hurst, and journal for the study.
*** This week''s Bible Study***
This week I was in Samuel 21-23 with the addition of a couple of Psalms. Worked in the Beth Moore and Daily Grace David workbooks.
*** This week's prayer list***
Please keep the little girl from last week, Maria, in your prayers. They have another court case on the 22nd, in Pakistan, to decide if this 12 year old will be returned to her parents, or allowed to stay with this man who abducted and "married" her.
My brother-in-law to be, Marty, is home from the hospital after his double stroke. He is doing pretty well, but he has lost some vision in both of his eyes. Please pray he will regain the use of his sight!
Jeff will be driving Up North on Wednesday - about a 4-hour drive. Praying he will make it safely.
There's so much evil in the world, it's impossible to list it or even touch on it. Praying for peace, safety, and comfort for everyone in need of it.
Will be thinking of the 12 year old girls (an abomination these things happen). Hoping your bil' eyesight will get better and that Jeff gets a safe drive. I like your word of the year. Off to see the video about brooches. Have a great week
Thank you for the prayers. This has been an ongoing issue with the young girl - and I know that it probably happens all too often, but she is in my heart! I ended up buying 3 more brooches today! A cameo, a pearl one with a silver heart, and a cute little bird. Now to wear them!!
Happy new week dear Friend! I'm with you and wishing on Spring too! I love pins and brooches too and I sometimes even use them in crafts. :) I remember having to read War and Peace in school. Not sure if I'd read it for fun. Lol 😂 Holding up all of your intentions in prayer. Have a blessed and cozy week ahead. xoxo
I would have hated W&P in high school! It's a journey, for sure, but I'm enjoying it! I have used a brooch in a craft as well! Very versatile. I want to be the girl who wears dresses and skirts, uses scarves and wears brooches - instead I'm the girl in the Dolly Parton sweatshirt and yoga pants HAHAHHAHA Maybe I can be both?!
I LOVE that pink sky picture!!! And OUCH on that heating bill. My theory is that you can always put more clothes on!! I don't think I could do WAR and PEACE myself, but kudos to you!!! Have a wonderful week.
I am linking up with Mailbox Monday It's Monday! What Are You Reading? The Sunday Post @ caffeinatedbookreviewer WHAT DID I READ THIS WEEK: It was a pretty slow reading week actually. I only finished two books. I made it 1/2-way through a third book, but we'll talk about that one next week. The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupery 4***** and Porch Lights, by Dorothea Benton Frank 4.5 ****-1/2 I was so pleasantly surprised by "Porch Lights". The characters are FABULOUS. I wanted to be just like the mom character only 5% into the book! This story is about relationships. How family is important not just in hard times, but ALL the time. The setting is stunning too. The South Carolina Lowcountry. I want a whole series of books revolving around these characters! FAVORITE QUOTE FROM A BOOK I READ: Two this week....
I am linking up with Mailbox Monday It's Monday! What Are You Reading? The Sunday Post @ caffeinatedbookreviewer WHAT DID I READ THIS WEEK: I didn't finish anything this week, but I have been working on a few books. All Good People Here by Ashley Flowers This book was written by the host of the very popular True Crime Podcast, Crime Junkie. I borrowed this from my local library. Holiday Hope by Shanna Hatfield Shanna Hatfield is one of my favorite historical fiction writers. She writes westerns with incredible characters. I borrowed this on...
I am linking up with Sandra from Diary of a Stay at Home Mom for Happy Homemaker Monday The weather ..... We've had a few simply beautiful days in the upper 70s - lower 80s with blue skies and fluffy clouds. I've walked out of work and thought ..... wow! Now this is perfection! Right now I am .... Taking a break from hand-washing dishes. I really don't enjoy it! LOL But I have been watching the YouTube channel " Shelly's Home Life" and it makes cleaning more enjoyable! If you haven't watched her before, check her out. Great recipes, she does some planner-ing, grocery hauls, and clean-with-me types of videos. Thinking.... My mind is always racing. I'm always thinking about a whole mess of things. Right now I'm thinking about the changes that I have already made to my life and the goals I want to set up for September! Something fun or interesting that happened. .. I watched the entire movie ...
