I am still reading the same books as last week. sigh 

*The Iliad by Homer
*A Tree Grows in Brooklyn by Betty White
*Discerning the Voice of God by Priscilla Shirer
*Let Them by Mel Robbins 

My 2 page-a-day books:  

*Daily Stoic by Ryan Holiday 
*A Calendar of Wisdom by Tolstoy 

WHAT BOOKS DID I BUY/BORROW THIS WEEK:  
I purchased Dr. Neal Barnard's Reversing Diabetes

WHAT IS THE BOOK I MOST WANT TO READ RIGHT NOW: 
The book I want to read right now is .... I honestly don't know. "Lonesome Dove" is high up there, but I want to wait for fall to read that. 


WHAT ARE MY READING PLANS FOR THE UPCOMING WEEK: 
Plans.... Finish 3 out of 4 of the books above. I don't see me finishing The Iliad right quick.


WHAT DID I DNF THIS WEEK: 
* Didn't start anything new, so didn't DNF anything either! 



WHAT DID I WORK ON THIS WEEK? 
This week I started writing a prequel for my thrillmance series. Once it is complete, I'll offer it for free on my website so readers can check it out and see if they are interested in reading the rest. 

WHAT IS FEEDING MY CREATIVITY? 
Right now .... knowing I have a vacation coming up.

The Monday Book Report, Edition #3

I am linking up with  Mailbox Monday It's Monday!  What Are You Reading?  The Sunday Post @ caffeinatedbookreviewer  WHAT DID I READ THIS WEEK:   It was a pretty slow reading week actually.  I only finished two books. I made it 1/2-way through a third book, but we'll talk about that one next week.  The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupery    4***** and Porch Lights, by Dorothea Benton Frank   4.5 ****-1/2 I was so pleasantly surprised by "Porch Lights".  The characters are FABULOUS. I wanted to be just like the mom character only 5% into the book!  This story is about relationships. How family is important not just in hard times, but ALL the time.  The setting is stunning too.  The South Carolina Lowcountry.    I want a whole series of books revolving around these characters!   FAVORITE QUOTE FROM A BOOK I READ:  Two this week....

Happy Homemaker Monday for April 26th, 2021

I am linking up with Sandra from Diary of a Stay at Home Mom for Happy Homemaker Monday On My Breakfast Plate: It was actually a bowl of chicken noodle soup!  The weather in my neck of the woods .....  Today is in the mid 50s - tomorrow the mid 80s!  I am hopeful there will be some sunshine so I can enjoy my new bench on my balcony and get some Vitamin D. Right now I am.... THE COVID CHRONICLES Right now I am recovering from COVID-19.  Back on Easter Sunday my girls and I went to my dad's to cook dinner.  Once we were already there, my dad mentioned he wasn't feeling quite right.  Soon after he and my sister found out they were positive.  A couple of days after that my daughters both tested positive.  Then me.  Then my other sister.   Dad was hospitalized for a few days at the beginning.  His oxygen dipped down into the 80s.  I am so thankful to God that he was released shortly after.  NO pneumonia!  No blood clo...
