I am linking up with Sandra from Diary of a Stay at Home Mom for Happy Homemaker Monday
The weather..... It's cold! The past couple of days have cooled down and today is downright chill! I am in love! (of course its back in the 80s in a few days)
Right now I am.... Enjoying this chilly morning and wondering WHY I do not have a cup of chai in my hands right now!
Thinking.... I'm going to be replanting 2 of my kitchen plants. I've had one of them for 3 years and the other over 2. I hope I don't kill them! LOL
Something fun or interesting that happened.... Driving with Emily is so funny. I took her onto a side street for about a block today and she was like "I'm going so fast!" and it was like 15 mph :D
On my reading pile.... I finished 3 books last week and I am just starting on "North & South" and "How to Fall in Love in a Bookshop". You can read all about my bookish life every week on The Monday Book Report.
On my TV.....
Season 2 of Iron Fist
Days of Our Lives
Young & Restless
YouTube videos
Movie of the Week..... 2017's Lady Bird It was ok. Laurie Metcalf (Jackie on Roseanne) played the mother to senior in HS Christine, aka Lady Bird. It's your typical coming-of-age movie, on the wrong side of the tracks, overbearing mother, no one understands you kind of movie. It was weird but not bad.
On the menu for this week....
Sunday - Cowboy's Meal from the Skinnyish Dish (I love this recipe)
Monday - Semi-homemade thin crust pizza & salad
Wednesday - Healthified peanut noodles with chicken and veggies
Friday - Herb and garlic fish, wild rice, green beans
Saturday - Family dinner & game night: Pork chops, baked potatoes, & green beans w/ salad
On my to do list....
- Wash dishes (boo!)
- Laundry
- Drop off laundry @ dad's
- Quick trip to Aldi
- Driving with Emily
- Vacuum
- Dust
- READ
- Meal prep for week
- Some typing for work
- Work on blog posts
In my planners....... Planners are not done yet! I will post pics of them later in the week!
Bible study......... I am really excited to be starting the Women Living Well study of Ruth: God's Amazing Love for You starting today
In my prayers......... Ive been worried about my younger sister. I know some of you know that she was diagnosed with end-stage liver disease and we are working on getting her a liver transplant at the University of Michigan. She has become seriously depressed. Please keep her in your prayers as well <3
Good luck with the replanting! I’m enjoying the cold weather, too. Fall is definitely my season.
ReplyDeleteAj @ Read All The Things!
Best wishes to your sister- I hope all goes well. I've had relatives go to U of M for procedures and I hope here transplant goes through. Definitely praying for her!
ReplyDeleteI just started Iron Fist S2 as well, hoping it will be a good one!
Many prayers for your sister & your family during such a difficult struggle. Maybe it will give you a laugh to know I actually thought the Ladybird movie was about the former first lady married to former president Johnson. The movie didn't interest me after I found out I had the subject matter wrong. Hope you have a great week!
ReplyDeleteNot funny at all - I thought the same thing at first!
DeleteI will look up the books you listed. Your menu looks great. Have a good week
ReplyDeleteI just finished season 2 of Iron Fist myself. Great menu. Sounds like a busy week, I hope it's GREAT. BTW I wanted to tell you that your comments can't be read (at least on my browser) seems like the font color is too light.
