Happy Homemaker Monday 2/7/22

I am linking up with Sandra at Diary of a Stay at Home Mom for Happy Homemaker Monday!

The weather:::

 It's been a weird winter.  We had a little snow (not the 15 inches we were expecting!  I was correct with my 5" guess)  This week we have upper 20s to 40.  Mostly cloudy.  Friday a rain/snow messy mix.  Nothing good to report!

On my reading pile:::

 I have good news on this front.  My reading slump is over!  YAY!

I love Colleen Hoover.  Her books are a little more "worldly" in a lot of ways than I usually like, but her writing and characterization is always amazing.  And she can write twists and turns like nobody else!  A few of her books are on Kindle Unlimited.

Reading now:

(Audio Book)  Heartbreak Bay - the 5th installment in Rachel Caine's Stillhouse Lake series.  This is a thriller book about the wife of a serial killer - so not for everyone.  But it is such a good series and on Kindle Unlimited!

And I have decided that this year I will be delving back into the Classics Challenge!  I will be reading classic novels as real live books that I can annotate and then keep for my book collection.  My first for this year is: Evelina by Frances Burney.   I am loving it so far!

On my TV:::

Days of Our Lives
1883
YouTubers
YellowStone

On the menu for this week:::

Monday -   We had dinner with my family at my Dad's.  Bakery pizza
Tuesday -   Leftovers: Turkey, stuffing, corn, sweet potatoes
Wednesday -  Jennah has night school - Emily and I will be out
Thursday -   Shrimp and veggie stir fry over rice with chicken potstickers
Friday -  Hot dogs and French Fries

On my to do list:::

 I just received a wholesale box of jeans to sell on Poshmark.  I am going to take photos and measure a few pair to get listed on the app this evening. I'll also be working on my current Bible study and get some reading in.

What I am planning/journaling/writing:::

I've started writing a Bible Study about the Women of the Bible.  It will be a year long study and focus on one woman each month.  February is Rahab, so I am doing a lot of research on her!

Looking around the house:::

 Cluttered but not messy or dirty.  Need to rearrange a few things to get things looking less cluttered.  My office is filled with totes of inventory to sell - I could find a better place for it but we will only be living here at most for another year.

From the camera:::

What I sold on Poshmark this week:::

 Only two sales this week - a soft purple nightgown and a nice pair of leather Bata Mary Janes! Every sale helps!

On my prayer list:::

  •  My Dad is STILL sick.  It's been almost a full year of one thing after another.  He will be scheduling a cardioversion (shocking the heart under anesthesia) after his deep cough goes away.
  • My best friend and her husband, they were both just diagnosed with COVID
  • My work friend and her family as they are still devastated after their house burned down last week

Bible verse, Devotional:::

I've moved into Proverbs.  I believe I've only read through Proverbs once and I never have actually studied them, so I plan to dwell on this chapter a bit.

I am also doing a Bible study with Heather Baxter Ministries.  She has workshops, YouTube videos, a podcast and monthly studies. Our current scripture is Jeremiah 31:3
